The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association was founded in 2002 by the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets (CISDM). The CAIA Association is an independent, not-for-profit, global organization committed to education and professionalism in the field of alternative investments. Interviews are rarely the deciding factor in an admissions decisions; instead, they typically mirror or round out information already provided in the application. We are interested in getting to know you as an individual and understanding how you'll fit into the next class. We assess your communication skills, social skills and readiness for our program.

•    Enroll and Register with the CFA Institute USA for Level I Exam
      o    Exam Month June – Registration Deadline February – March
      o    Exam Month December – Registration Deadline August - September
•    Pass the examinations
•    You need to pass Level I, Level II and Level III exams sequentially.
•    Apply for Membership after clearing your Level III exam ( for membership along with CFA Level III you need to have at least four years of Professional Work Experience)

The differences in what scores mean with regard to percentiles are due to the content of the exam and the caliber of students choosing to take each exam. Subject Tests are subject to intensive study (often in the form of an AP , which is relatively more difficult), and only those who know they will perform well tend to take these tests, creating a skewed distribution of scores.
